Kathmandu, Mar 26: State Councilor of the People's Republic of China and Foreign Affairs Minister Wang Yi on Saturday called on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba at the PM's official residence in Baluwatar this evening.
During the one-hour-long meeting, issues of bilateral interests were discussed, according to Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Narayan Khadka. On the occasion, issues of supporting each other's mutual concerns in the international forums were also discussed.
The two sides also discussed the trade deficit of Nepal with China, resumption of Tatopani border and Rasuwa border, facilitation in the studies of Nepali students studying in the Chinese universities and other common aspects.
During the event, the technical part of the Pokhara Airport developed with the loan assistance of China was also handed over to Nepal.
Minister Wang had arrived here on Friday at the invitation of Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Khadka.
Nepal and China on Saturday inked nine sets of instruments to enhance mutual cooperation and partnership. Both countries have agreed to further strengthen the cooperative relation and partnership between Nepal and China.
